i came across with one joke in reader's digest as per below...

A medical intern at the hospital I work at was interviewing a patient's husband.

He asked "This morning, when your wife was having seizures, were you able to get her temperature?"

After thinking for a few seconds, the husband replied, "Um, no, but I noticed that she was HOT in bed last night."

Silat pengantin

semalam ade jemputan kahwin member aku, so aku pun turun la. this is just another typical malay wedding. apsal aku cakap camni sbb sekarang ni kenduri kawin punya itenari semua nya sama, takde yg lain dari yang lain!

sampai je rumah pengantin salam2 ngan tuan rumah, tu pun kalo jumpa, ade tu ntah kemana hilangnya tuan rumah dia, pastu jemput makan, kompom ala buffet_yg_menunya_sama_ngan_other_kenduri_kawin, lepas makan pi la tangkap gambar ngan pengantin (tu pun kalo bwk kamera or pengantin tu member kita or bloggers), dlm masa tu kita di hiburkan oleh karaoke2_sumbang atau DJ_yg_pasang_lagu_kuat2 sampai kita nak berborak pun kena ckp kuat2 (ni mesti/kompom/wajib ade mana2 kenduri kawin, tak tau la pulak adat ni datang dari mana), pastu lepak dlm 10-20 minit (kadang2 5min jek sbb anak2 dah buat hal), salam balik ngan tuan rumah (kali ni salam kaut la pulak) terus cabut balik.

tapi sib baik kenduri kawin ni, on top of the above_standard items, masa pengantin dok bersanding tu ade la silat pengantin. best gak aku tengok maklum la aku pun tak ingat bila la last sekali aku tgk org silat pengantin ni... gegirl & abang lagi la excited tgk warisan yang semakin hari semakin pupus ni...

yeahhhhhhh!!!

apa ada pada nickname

hari ni rasa cam nak tulih something lak, maklum lah ramai yg dok komplen blog ni dah naik sawang especially geng2 red mummy :P

ni nak citer pasal nickname yg penah aku pakai selama ni...

dlm zaman 90an dulu time2 internet baru nak menapak, dotcom mula nak meletup, alamak.com gila femes (eh ade lagi ke site ni), aku guna nick ToyoN rasanya kalo tak silap, sempena satu character or kartunis dia kot dlm komik gila2 time tu... gila addicted lepak kat alamak.com hahaha maklum lah time bujang2, ape lagi ayat awek la :)

masuk opis ingat nak berchatting jek, bos pun tak leh buat apa hehehehe

pastu aku dapat kerja lain (sama opis ngan Red Mummy, time ni la kitorang cintan cintun hehehe) so masa nak create email account kat opis baru ni, depa ade la pulak polisi kena pakai specific name convention in order to come up with the email address, so dari sini la muncul nyer nick baru aku ashamril sempena gabungan nama betul aku which is ala go figure sendiri laa :P

nick name ni aku pakai lama giler even till today, segala pelosok forum, chatting sites ke, irc time2 RINDU.net even in bbs pakai nick ni. aku nyer email accounts for free or opis emails semua pakai nick ni, cuma yg tensen yahoo mail tak dpt sbb dah ade org pakai. tapi yg best nyer aku siap email mamat tu tanya kot2 dia nak tukar.

pastu siap registered domain sendiri lagi ashamril.com tp dah expired dah of cos!

until last few years, i found another nick for myself. time2 tu giler pakai linux, mmg hardcore giler la. siap kutuk2 sapa2 yg pakai windows produk ni... so sbb linux or unix ni ade x character, kira cam cool jerk. so i figure i need a nick that have the x character as well. from here la muncul nyer ashterix gabungan ashamril + asterick (*) bukan asterix & obelix tuh!

tapi semenjak dua menjak ni red mummy bagi la pulak nick baru Sirman and also Big Daddy sempena citer big daddy tu. actually i used this as my signature bila hantar kad ke bunga ke kat red mummy heheehe. yg Sirman tu kena tanya red mummy sendiri awat jadik Sirman lak!

so sampai la ni 2 nick ni jer yg permanantly used - ashamril & ashterix

p/s: tapi aku rasa byk lagi la nick2 lain yg aku pakai especially kalo nak jadik anonymous time2 main irc dulu :P lupa laa!

time now at 8:52pm, still in the office while waiting to attend a meeting at 9:00pm. Ini yang susahnya kerja ngan MNC company. Nak kena meeting dengan org kat US la EU la, so kena la ikut timing diorang... bosan giler menunggu.. tp sabo jer la..

A curiosity: which is your favourite distribution, and which one do you consider more secure?

I don’t really tend to care much, I’ve changed distributions over the years, and to me the most important thing tends to be that they are easy to install and upgrade, and allow me to do the only part I really care about - the kernel.

So the only major distribution I’ve never used has actually been Debian, exactly because that has traditionally been harder to install. Which sounds kind of strange, since Debian is also considered to be the “hard-core technical” distribution, but that’s literally exactly what I personally do not want in a distro. I’ll take the nice ones with simple installers etc, because to me, that’s the whole and only point of using a distribution in the first place.

So I’ve used SuSE, Red Hat, Ubuntu, YDL (I ran my main setup on PowerPC-based machines for a while, and YDL - Yellow Dog Linux - ended up the easiest choice). Right now, most of my machines seem to have Fedora 7 on then, but that’s only a statement of fact, not meant to be that I think it’s necessarily “better” than the other distros.

Debian was my favourite distro & still is even though I'm not heavily use it now. Well, all the distros in my office are RedHat . What to do... :P
